LinkedIn connection settings

Updated this week

This guide covers how to integrate your LinkedIn account, manage safety limits, and maintain a healthy automation profile.

πŸ”— Connection Management

Reconnecting Your Account

LinkedIn sessions expire periodically for security. If your status shows as Inactive or Disconnected:

  1. Click "Reconnect LinkedIn."

  2. Re-enter your credentials and complete any two-factor authentication.

  3. Your campaigns will automatically resume once the connection is restored.

Share with Team

Toggle "Share with Team" to allow other team members to send outreach from your LinkedIn account. This is ideal for collaborative hiring where a hiring manager’s profile is used for the initial "hook."

πŸ›‘οΈ Protecting Account Health

LinkedIn Warmup Mode

Always enable Warmup Mode for new accounts or those that haven't been active in over 30 days.

  • Effect: It enforces lower, safer activity caps.

  • Goal: To mimic a natural increase in social activity, preventing LinkedIn from flagging your account as "suspicious."

Daily & Weekly Limits

NoRecruit uses sliders to control your outreach volume. If you hit these limits, activities will enter a "Rate Limited" status and resume the following day.

Recommended Starting Limits: | Activity | Daily (Warmup) | Daily (Established) | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Connections | 10–15 | 25–40 | | Messages | 20–30 | 50–75 | | InMails | 5–10 | 15–25 | | Profile Views | 30–50 | 80–100 |

🌐 Advanced Configuration

VPN Credentials

If you are managing accounts from a different geographic region than your actual location, use the VPN section to ensure your LinkedIn traffic originates from a consistent IP address.

  • Required fields: Host, Port, Username, and Password.

πŸ› οΈ Troubleshooting

"Rate Limited" Status

This is not an error; it is a safety feature. It means you’ve reached the cap you set in your settings.

  • Fix: Either wait for the next 24-hour cycle or slightly increase your limits if your account is established and healthy.

Frequent Disconnections

If you find yourself reconnecting daily:

  1. Ensure you aren't logged into the same LinkedIn account on too many different devices/browsers.

  2. Check if your VPN credentials (if used) are still valid.

  3. Verify that your LinkedIn password hasn't been changed recently.

πŸ’‘ Best Practices

  • Consistency is Key: LinkedIn prefers steady, daily activity over massive "bursts" of 100 messages in one hour.

  • Mirror Human Behavior: Use the Working Hours setting to ensure your account isn't "active" at 3:00 AM on a Sunday.

  • Monitor Your Inbox: High response rates signal to LinkedIn that your outreach is high-quality, which helps protect your account.
