First-time setup essentials: working hours and messaging style

A quick-start guide to setting NoRecruit's working hours and teaching the AI your messaging style before your first campaign.

Before launching your first campaign, set two personal defaults: when NoRecruit is allowed to work on your behalf, and how it should write. Both take a few minutes and pay off in every campaign. This is the quick-start version — the full reference lives in the Settings collection.

Where to find it

Go to Settings → Personal Settings. Use the tab bar to open NoRecruit's Working Hours or Messaging Style.

Setting NoRecruit's working hours

Define at which times NoRecruit operates. All automated activities (imports, outreach, InMails) will only run during the hours you set here.

There are three activity categories, each with its own colored blocks on a weekly timeline:

  • Outreach — connection requests, chat messages, and InMails (Premium/Sales Navigator).

  • Import — LinkedIn Recruiter and Recruiter Lite imports. Set this to a time when you are absolutely not using LinkedIn on any device. Recommended: 05:00 - 06:00.

  • Recruiter InMail — InMails sent via LinkedIn Recruiter, also best scheduled when you're not using LinkedIn yourself.

To set your hours:

  1. Open the NoRecruit's Working Hours tab.

  2. Click on a day's timeline to add a block, and choose the category (Add block for...).

  3. Drag a block to move it, or drag its edges to resize. Click a block to select it; use Delete to remove it.

  4. Use Copy to other days to apply one day's schedule to the rest of the week.

  5. Click Save Changes in the bar that appears at the bottom.

Categories can't overlap on the same day — each category needs its own unique time window.

💡 Tip: Scroll down to Bank Holidays to select your country's public holidays or add custom dates (like company closures or vacations). Activities will not be scheduled on these days.

Setting up your messaging style

Your messaging style teaches the AI how you write. It's inherited by all your campaigns, so every generated message sounds like you.

  1. Open the Messaging Style tab.

  2. Active Languages — the languages you write outreach messages in.

  3. Spoken Languages — languages you can reply in. If a candidate replies in a language you speak, the AI continues in that language.

  4. Salutations and Sign-off — how you greet recipients and end your messages, per language.

  5. Tone of Voice — describe your preferred writing tone (for example, "professionally informal, personal, and free from generic recruiter language").

  6. Example Messages — add 3-5 messages that represent how you write; these teach the AI your voice.

  7. Message Rules — review the built-in Default Quality Rules and add Your Additional Rules (for example, "Always mention remote work option").

  8. Optionally create Message Goal Templates — reusable message goals you can select in the workflow builder instead of retyping.

  9. Click Save.

💡 Tip: If you have active campaigns, changes to your messaging style affect all future messages generated for them — already scheduled messages stay as they are.

FAQ

Are working hours and messaging style shared with my team? No, both are personal settings. Each team member configures their own, matching their own LinkedIn account and writing voice.

Which timezone do my working hours use? Your personal timezone, set under Settings → Personal Settings → General (Timezone and Language).

Why is there no Import or Recruiter InMail block needed for me? Those windows only matter if you use LinkedIn Recruiter or Recruiter Lite. Sales Navigator and classic imports run instantly and don't need an import window.
