Every conversation in the Inbox has a full composer, so you can answer candidates directly from NoRecruit — the reply is delivered on the same channel the conversation started on (LinkedIn, InMail, WhatsApp or email).
Where to find it
In the sidebar, click Inbox.
Select a conversation from the list. The message thread opens on the right, with the composer at the bottom.
Sending a reply
Click into the field that says Type your message.
Write your reply.
Check the Sending as label next to the Send button — it shows which connected account the message will be sent from (the owner of the conversation).
Click Send. The message appears in the thread right away with a brief Sending... state while it's delivered.
💡 Tip: Your unsent text is kept per conversation — you can switch to another chat and come back without losing your draft. Conversations with an unsent draft show a Draft badge in the list.
Using templates
Templates save you from retyping the same answers:
Click Templates in the composer (or the Manage Templates icon in the conversation header).
Pick a template from the list — its content is inserted into the composer.
Templates can contain the variable
{firstname}, which is automatically replaced with the candidate's first name. While{firstname}is still in your text, a Preview: line shows exactly how the message will read.
To create or edit templates, open Manage Templates. In the Message Templates dialog you can click New, give the template a Template Name, choose a Type (Message or Connection Request), optionally add a Subject (Optional), and write the Template Content. Save with Create Template (or Update Template when editing).
Attaching a PDF
You can send a PDF — for example a job description or brochure — along with your message:
Click the paperclip icon (Attach PDF) in the composer.
Choose a PDF file of up to 10 MB. Only PDF files are supported.
The file appears as a small preview above the composer — click the X to remove it.
Type your message and click Send. The candidate receives the file as a downloadable attachment.
When you can't reply
Two warnings can appear instead of the composer buttons:
This InMail has been declined — the candidate declined your InMail, and LinkedIn doesn't allow further messages in that conversation. These chats carry a Declined badge; use the Hide declined filter to tuck them away.
No outreach permission — the conversation belongs to a teammate's connected account and you haven't been granted permission to send messages on it. Ask the connection owner to grant you outreach access.
FAQ
Which channel does my reply use? Always the conversation's own channel — check the badge next to the candidate's name (LinkedIn, Recruiter, Sales Nav, WhatsApp or Email).
Can I attach images or Word documents? No — attachments are PDF only, with a 10 MB limit.
