AI-assisted replies: generate, approve and schedule

Let NoRecruit draft replies for you, review AI-scheduled messages, and approve, edit, reschedule or cancel them before they go out.

NoRecruit's AI can write candidate replies for you — either on demand with the AI Reply button, or automatically as part of your campaigns. Nothing leaves without your control: drafts land in the composer for review, and scheduled messages can be edited, approved, sent immediately or cancelled.

Where to find it

  1. In the sidebar, click Inbox and open a conversation.

  2. The AI Reply button sits in the composer, next to Templates.

Generating an AI reply

  1. Open the conversation you want to answer and click AI Reply. The Generate AI reply dialog opens.

  2. (Optional) Tell the AI what to focus on — "What should the reply focus on? (optional)" — for example "propose two interview slots next week".

  3. (Optional) Tick Include available timeslots (if your calendar is connected) to have real openings from your Cal.com calendar woven into the draft. Connect your calendar first under Personal Settings → Calendar integration.

  4. Click AI Reply in the dialog. The button shows Generating... while the reply is written.

  5. Generation runs in the background, so you're free to switch to other conversations — you can even start AI replies there in parallel.

  6. When it's ready you'll see the toast AI reply generated, and the draft is loaded into the composer of that conversation.

Editing and sending the draft

The generated text is a normal draft: edit it as much as you like, then click Send. If you decide not to use it, click the red X (Cancel) button to discard it.

💡 Tip: The AI writes in the language of the conversation and uses the full message history for context — the focus field is only needed when you want to steer it somewhere specific.

Handing a conversation to the agent

Instead of drafting one reply at a time, you can let NoRecruit's conversational agent take over the whole conversation:

  1. Click Hand to agent, next to the AI Reply button.

  2. In the Let the agent handle this chat dialog, describe the goal — the default is "Schedule a call with this candidate".

  3. Decide how replies go out with Send automatically with a short delay: off — the agent drafts each reply for your approval; on — replies are scheduled and sent automatically.

  4. Click Start agent.

While the agent owns the conversation, the button turns amber: Agent active — take over. Click it to switch the agent off ("Agent turned off. You have the conversation.") — sending a manual reply also hands the conversation back to you. The agent stops on its own once its goal is reached, after a few turns, or when the candidate asks to stop.

💡 Tip: Campaigns can start the agent automatically the moment a candidate replies — see "The Conversational Agent" in the Campaigns collection.

Scheduled and pending replies

When your campaign's AI agent prepares a reply automatically, it appears in the conversation's composer ahead of time so you can review it:

  • A green tag shows Scheduled for {time} — the moment the message will be sent automatically.

  • If your campaign requires approval first, the tag reads Scheduled for {time} if message is approved.

While a reply is scheduled or awaiting approval, you have these controls in the composer:

  • Edit the text — change the message directly in the composer, then click the blue Save button to store your version. An Edited note is kept with the message.

  • Approve — the green check button releases a message that's waiting for approval. It will then be sent at its scheduled time.

  • Send Now — sends the message immediately instead of waiting for the scheduled time. A dialog asks Send Message Now? — confirm with Yes, Send Now. (Messages still awaiting approval must be approved first.)

  • Cancel — the red X button stops the message entirely. A dialog asks Cancel Scheduled Message? — confirm with Yes, Cancel Message. This cannot be undone.

While a scheduled or pending reply exists in a conversation, the AI Reply button is disabled — deal with the pending message first.

FAQ

The AI Reply button is greyed out — why? Either a reply is already being generated, a scheduled/pending message is waiting in this conversation, the InMail was declined, or you don't have outreach permission on this connection.

What happens if generation fails? You'll see the toast Failed to generate reply. Just click AI Reply again.

Will an approved message jump the queue? No — approving only clears the approval requirement. The message is still sent at its scheduled time unless you use Send Now.
