Pipeline: managing your deals

Track placements and opportunities on the deals kanban board — create deals, drag them between phases, and configure your pipelines.

The Pipeline page gives you a kanban board of all your open deals — placements or business opportunities — organized in phases, with revenue forecasting built in.

Where to find it

In the sidebar, go to RelationsPipeline.

Setting up your first pipeline

If you don't have a pipeline yet, you'll see "No pipeline yet". Click Create default pipeline to start with a standard five-phase sales pipeline — you can rename, recolor, and reorder the phases afterwards.

Reading the board

At the top of the board, four tiles summarize your pipeline:

  • Forecasted Revenue — the expected revenue of open deals, weighted by each phase's probability.

  • Won Revenue — total revenue of won deals (with the count).

  • Lost — number of lost deals.

  • Win Rate — the percentage of closed deals that were won.

Each phase column shows its name, color, deal count, probability percentage, the total expected revenue in that phase, and the weighted forecast.

Creating a deal

  1. Click Add Deal.

  2. Enter a Deal title.

  3. If you have more than one pipeline, choose the Pipeline, then pick the starting Phase.

  4. Under Link to, choose Candidate or Prospect:

    • Candidate — select the candidate this deal is about (typical for placements).

    • Prospect — select the Company and then the Contact person at that company.

  5. Optionally fill in the Expected revenue.

  6. Click Add Deal.

Moving deals between phases

Simply drag a deal card and drop it on another phase column. The move is saved automatically. You can also change the phase from the deal's detail page.

💡 Tip: Set a realistic probability percentage per phase (via Configure Phases) — it drives the Forecasted Revenue number, so later phases with higher probability weigh more.

The deal detail page

Click any deal card to open its detail page. It has three tabs:

  • Overview — edit the Deal title, Link to (Candidate or Prospect with Company/Contact person), Expected revenue, and Phase, then click Save. Use the Open / Won / Lost buttons in the card header to change the deal's status.

  • Activities — the deal's activity timeline.

  • Notes — free-form notes about the deal.

Closed deals

Deals marked Won or Lost leave the kanban board and appear in the Closed Deals section below it. Filter them with the All, Won, and Lost buttons. Reopen a deal by setting its status back to Open on its detail page.

Configuring phases

  1. Click Configure Phases.

  2. In the Deal Pipeline Phases dialog you can:

    • Change a phase's color with the color swatch.

    • Rename a phase (click the name, edit, press Enter).

    • Change its probability percentage.

    • Reorder phases with the up/down arrows.

    • Delete a phase with the trash icon.

    • Add a new phase by typing a name and clicking Add.

Working with multiple pipelines

You can run separate pipelines — for example one per client or per service line:

  1. Click Manage Pipelines.

  2. Add a new pipeline by typing its name and clicking Add, rename an existing one with the pencil icon, or delete a non-default pipeline with the trash icon.

  3. Switch between pipelines with the tabs above the board. Each pipeline has its own phases and deals.

FAQ

Why doesn't a candidate's deal show on their profile? Only deals linked to that candidate (via Link toCandidate) appear on their profile page. Deals linked to a prospect appear on the company's detail page instead.
