The ICP (Ideal Candidate Profile) describes who your perfect candidate or prospect is. NoRecruit screens imported profiles against it and assigns each one a tier (A, B, or C), so you focus outreach on the best matches. The ICP you define here is the account default — every campaign uses it unless that campaign sets its own override.
Where to find it
Go to Settings → Team Settings and open the ICP tab. (Team Settings is only visible to owners.)
Building your ICP manually
The ICP Criteria editor is organized top to bottom:
ICP identity — give the profile a Name and Description so your team knows who it targets.
Discriminators — add tags to narrow your target audience: Industries, Seniority, Company size, and Geographies. Press Enter or Tab to confirm each tag.
Must-have criteria — knockout requirements. Prospects not meeting these criteria are automatically excluded. Click Add criterion for each one.
Nice-to-have criteria — scoring criteria that contribute to the total score. Give each a weight; the weights must sum to exactly 100%. Use Distribute evenly to balance them automatically.
Tier bands — set the A threshold (≥) and B threshold (≥). Scores at or above A become tier A; at or above B (but below A) become tier B; everything else is tier C.
Click Save.
You can drag criteria to reorder them, or move a criterion between the must-have and nice-to-have lists with the drag handle.
💡 Tip: Keep must-haves short and truly non-negotiable — every must-have removes candidates outright. Put "would be great" qualities in nice-to-haves, where they influence the score instead of excluding people.
Generating an ICP with AI
Don't want to fill the form by hand?
Click Generate with AI at the top of the page.
The assistant asks a few questions about your ideal candidate — answer in your own words.
When it's done, the criteria are filled into the form behind the dialog.
Review the form, adjust anything you like, and click Save.
How the ICP is used in campaigns
When you screen imported prospects in a campaign, NoRecruit checks each profile against the ICP and shows a tier badge (A/B/C) per profile. Each screened prospect costs 1 AI credit.
The screening dialog shows which ICP is being used: Account default (this page) or Project override (an ICP saved on that specific campaign).
Inside a campaign you can tweak the criteria and save them to that campaign only — your account default here stays untouched. A campaign override can also be cleared to revert to the account default.
FAQ
I get "No ICP is configured for this account or campaign." Open Team Settings → ICP and configure and save an ICP — screening needs one to run.
Does changing the account ICP affect already-screened profiles? No. Screening results are computed at screening time. Re-screen profiles if you want them evaluated against updated criteria (this costs credits again).
Does the company blacklist belong in the ICP? No — blacklisted companies have their own page (Team Settings → Company blacklist) and act as an automatic knockout on top of your ICP.
