Creating a campaign takes less than a minute — you give it a name, a location, and a type, and configure everything else afterwards. This article walks through the create flow and explains what a campaign contains.
Where to find it
Go to Outreach → Campaigns and click Create Campaign in the top-right corner.
Creating the campaign
In the Create Campaign dialog, enter a Campaign Name (e.g., "Senior Developer Recruitment").
For recruitment campaigns, pick a Location — start typing and select a valid suggestion (this is the job location).
Choose a Campaign Type:
Recruitment — "Hire talent for positions". Source candidates from LinkedIn Recruiter, screen them with AI against your vacancy, and run automated outreach.
Sales — "Reach prospects for sales". Built around an Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) instead of a vacancy, with an extra ICP tab.
Marketing — "Outreach campaigns". Lightweight contact outreach.
Click Create Campaign. You're taken straight into the new campaign.
What a campaign contains
Every campaign opens on a set of tabs:
Overview — the campaign's brain. For recruitment campaigns this holds the Job Description, the Screening Prompt with your screening criteria, and the extracted Requirements. Sales campaigns show a Product/Service Description, Key Benefits, Customer Use Cases, and a Messaging Audience instead.
ICP (sales campaigns only) — the Ideal Customer Profile used to screen prospects.
Candidates (called Prospects or Contacts for sales/marketing) — everyone imported into the campaign, with screening results, filters, and bulk actions.
Training Center — campaign-level messaging style: salutations, sign-offs, tone of voice, and message rules, inherited from the owner's personal Messaging Style with per-campaign overrides.
Campaign Builder — the visual canvas where you build the outreach sequence and launch the campaign.
Activities — appears once the campaign is launched; shows every profile moving through the sequence.
Filling in the Overview tab (recruitment)
Open the Overview tab and click Edit on the Job Description card. Paste the full vacancy text and click Save — NoRecruit validates that it reads as a real job description.
In the Screening Prompt card, click Use Intake Agent to have the AI interview you and generate structured screening criteria from the vacancy (see the AI screening article for details).
Review the Requirements list — add or remove requirements as needed.
Renaming and relocating a campaign
Click the campaign name in the header to rename it inline, then click Save.
On recruitment campaigns, click the location chip next to the name to change the job location.
The launch checklist
While a campaign is a Draft, a checklist pill appears in the top-right of the campaign header — it reads Setup 3/6 (or Ready to launch once complete). Click it to see every remaining step, such as:
Add a job description
Add candidates to the campaign
Build your outreach sequence
Connect your LinkedIn account
Set your working hours
Set salutation & tone of voice
Clicking a step jumps straight to the tab where you can fix it. Once everything is checked, the Ready to launch 🚀 button takes you to the Campaign Builder to publish.
FAQ
Can I change the campaign type later? No — the type determines the tabs, screening logic, and message generation, so pick the right one when creating.
Do I have to finish everything in one go? No. Campaigns stay in Draft as long as you like. The launch checklist keeps track of what's left.
Why is the location required? For recruitment campaigns the location is part of the job context used in screening and message personalization.
