The Campaign Builder is a visual canvas where you design the outreach sequence: which touchpoints happen, in what order, over which channels, and with what timing. You build it by dragging blocks from a palette and connecting them.
Where to find it
Open your campaign and select the Campaign Builder tab.
The two workflow paths
At the top of the builder are two tabs:
First Degree — "Workflow for contacts already connected to you on LinkedIn". These candidates can receive a direct message immediately.
Not Connected — "Workflow for contacts not yet connected (requires connection request or InMail)".
Each candidate automatically runs the path that matches their connection status with the sending LinkedIn account, so build both if your audience is mixed. A counter on each tab shows how many blocks that path contains.
The canvas basics
The palette (left sidebar) lists the available Actions — drag a block onto the canvas to add it. Above the blocks you see your connected accounts' status, and below them a Path Colors legend:
🟢 Accepted & Replied
🟡 Accepted (No Reply) / Skipped
🔴 No Response / Not Accepted
Connecting blocks — every block has colored dots (handles). Drag from a bottom handle to the top of the next block to create a path. The handle's color tells you which outcome it represents (e.g. a Connection Request has separate green, yellow, and red outputs).
Delays — click a connector to set the wait time before the next step: a number plus a unit (min / hrs / days). The delay is shown on the connector itself.
Numbering — each block gets a small number badge showing its order in the flow.
Working with blocks
Hover a block to reveal its toolbar in the top-right corner:
Block Settings (gear) — opens the settings panel on the right where you configure the account, message content, AI options, etc.
Duplicate Block (copy icon) — creates a copy of the block including its settings, placed next to the original. Handy for follow-ups that reuse the same configuration.
Delete Block (trash) — removes the block. You can also select a block or connector and press Backspace/Delete.
While a block's settings panel is open, the block is highlighted on the canvas with a purple ring — the active-node indicator — so you always know which block you're editing, even in a large flow.
A ⚠️ warning badge appears on any block that's missing its account or endpoint configuration; a banner above the canvas (Missing connection settings) can fix all of them at once with Use my connections.
The canvas toolbar
In the top-left of the canvas:
AI Builder — generate a complete sequence from a few questions (see the AI Builder article).
Reset — remove all blocks and connections from the current workflow path (confirmation required; cannot be undone).
Copy From — copy the workflow configuration from another campaign.
Save — appears whenever you have unsaved changes. A bar at the bottom also warns "You have unsaved changes" with a Save Changes button.
On an empty canvas you'll see a starter card — Start building your campaign — with Start with AI Builder and Build manually options.
Launch readiness
Two indicators tell you whether the campaign can go live:
The launch checklist pill in the campaign header (draft campaigns) — Setup 3/6 or Ready to launch, listing every remaining step.
The Publish Campaign button in the builder — when it's disabled, hover it to see exactly what's missing (e.g. working hours not set, a block without a LinkedIn account, no saved profiles).
Editing rules by campaign state
Draft — full editing.
Active (published) — the structure is locked (View Only on the tabs); block settings can still be edited and saved for profiles that haven't reached those steps yet.
Paused — full editing again; changes apply to new workflow runs (and optionally to compatible in-flight profiles when you save).
Stopped — completely read-only.
💡 Tip: Use Simulate in the top bar to preview the AI-generated messages for a few real profiles before you publish — see "Writing messages & the AI Builder".
FAQ
Can a block have multiple next steps? Yes — blocks with multiple outcomes (like Connection Request) have separate handles per outcome, and each can lead to a different branch.
Do I lose my flow if I switch between First Degree and Not Connected? No, each path keeps its own blocks. Just remember to Save before leaving the page.
